Your mission:
- Provide direct support to the product and pipeline engine, including R&D, Business Development (BD) & Innovation, and M&A functions, to integrate new products into the company’s innovative pipeline.
- Assess and support business development opportunities.
- Deliver launch excellence support for various countries.
- Develop and implement a corporate medical plan, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall strategy.
- Offer technical expertise to brand teams, interpreting data for promotional activities and providing other medical support to maximize the company’s potential.
- Oversee and manage corporate medical products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proven track record of providing launch excellence support at the local level, with at least 2 years of local experience.
- Demonstrate seniority to guide and manage affiliates in executing milestones outlined in brand plans.
Business Development/M&A:
- Provide medical and scientific support for BD/M&A projects with short timelines. Minimum 2 years of experience in this area.
Medical Strategy & Operations:
- Develop and implement global medical affairs strategies and tactical plans for corporate products.
- Offer strategic and managerial support to the Corporate Medical Head.
- Analyze and interpret scientific data to identify unmet medical, educational, and research needs within the medical community.
- Provide medical input to develop impactful educational materials, utilizing expertise, customer insights, and launch strategies.
- Foster strong collaboration with country and corporate teams, including sales, marketing, market access, and patient advocacy.
KOL/HCP Engagement:
- Build and maintain external relationships with relevant medical groups and stakeholders.
- Develop KOL mapping and engagement plans, including advisory boards, expert meetings, and editorial project management.
Medical Communication:
- Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information.
- Approve promotional and educational materials.
- Drive publication strategies, including congress abstracts and manuscripts, while engaging with KOLs at a professional level.
- Lead internal and external medical education initiatives, including MSL/medical training and patient education.
Research and Development:
- Collaborate with R&D and clinical teams to optimize educational and research support for trial sites and investigators.
- Contribute to the medical evaluation of products and new opportunities.
- Identify and implement impactful research projects, including real-world evidence studies and patient-reported outcomes.
Regulatory Affairs:
- Partner with Regulatory Affairs teams as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (Pharmacy, Biology, Medicine) or equivalent medical qualifications.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Affairs Advisor in neurology, psychiatry, or orphan diseases. Regional or global experience is a plus.
- Proven experience in launch excellence at the local level, with at least 2 years of familiarity with EU market access landscapes.
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of commercial needs.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and project management skills, with adaptability, resilience, and self-motivation.
- Ability to manage affiliates to meet agreed milestones and excellent external stakeholder management skills.
- Availability to travel up to 40%.
- Proficiency in English and either Spanish or German.
