About the opportunity:

1. Outlier is looking for talented writers with fluency in Swiss-German to help train generative artificial intelligence models.
2. This freelance opportunity is remote, with flexible hours, allowing you to work whenever is best for you.
3. Your tasks include reading Swiss German text to rank responses produced by an AI model, writing short stories in Swiss German about given topics, and assessing the factual accuracy of Swiss German texts generated by AI.

Examples of desirable expertise:

1. Experience as a professional translator.
2. Enrollment in or completion of an undergraduate program in a humanities field or related to writing.
3. Enrollment in or completion of a graduate program related to creative writing.

Payment:

1. Current pay rate for Swiss German writing experts is $45 USD per hour.
2. Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project needs, and other factors. Higher rates may be offered to PhDs. For non-core work, such as onboarding or overtime, lower rates may apply. Some projects may include incentive payments. Please review specific payment terms for each project.
