Job Description: Vice President of Innovation
The ideal candidate will be responsible for reinventing our innovation process, ensuring that innovative ideas are effectively translated into structured product increments and integrated into our product roadmap. This role manages cross-functional global teams and facilitates the handover to the product management organization. The VP will play a crucial role in positioning our company as a pioneer in the pharmaceutical software market. The role requires close collaboration with global customers, user groups, industry analysts, research institutes, and federal health authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reinvent Innovation Processes: Lead the transformation of our innovation framework to foster a culture of creativity and agility, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.
- Resource Allocation: Ensure financial resources are allocated efficiently to support high-impact innovation initiatives.
- Leverage Cutting-Edge Technologies: Integrate advanced technologies, such as AI, machine learning, and cloud computing, into our software products to maintain our competitive edge and meet evolving customer demands.
- Drive Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including customers and internal teams, to gather insights and feedback, ensuring our products are user-centric and effectively address market needs.
- Monitor Performance Metrics: Establish and track KPIs to evaluate the success of innovation initiatives and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Over 10 years of leadership experience, preferably in highly regulated environments such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or manufacturing.
- Proven track record in designing, implementing, and developing innovation processes that support timely and budget-conscious delivery of innovative solutions.
- Experience in influencing distributed global teams and managing cultural differences to align teams towards common goals.
- Deep understanding of innovation processes, including cultural and psychological factors critical to fostering innovation.
- Strategic thinking and business acumen to balance development goals with profitability and customer needs.
- Proven ability to collaborate across functions to align innovation efforts with company strategy and customer expectations.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Educational background: Master's degree required; MBA is a plus.
- Language skills: Proficiency in English required; fluency in German is a significant advantage.
