Research associate & possibility of a Ph.D. (m/f/d)

• Develop and implement analytical workflows for detection of tire emissions in the environment.
• Plan, organize, and perform sampling campaigns in the environment.
• Conduct sample preparation and analysis of environmental samples to determine tire emissions.
• Perform data analysis to determine tire emissions, retention, and distribution in the environment.
• Collaborate with project partners and contribute to project reporting.
• Write publications for peer-reviewed scientific journals about your results and present them at international conferences.
• Communicate and disseminate research results to diverse audiences, e.g., private sector, public sector, students, civil society.
• Master's degree ideally in analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience in at least one of the following topics: liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, organic mass spectrometry, and/or inorganic mass spectrometry.
• Coding skills preferably in R and/or Python.
• Hands-on working style and experience in an analytical laboratory.
• Motivation to work in an interdisciplinary team.
• High degree of organization and ability to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills (English required, German required).
