Service Technician – Mannheim
For our international client near Mannheim, we are currently seeking a Service Technician. You will perform technical service functions in the field, including troubleshooting for external customers, and conduct training and educational programs for internal and external clients.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve product and service requests, questions, and concerns of moderate complexity via telephone, email, and in person, acting as a subject matter expert.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to repairs or procedures concerning electrical or mechanical systems.
- Research and assess warranty claims, making policy adjustments as needed.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external partners to resolve inquiries.
- Assist in locating product parts in urgent situations requiring quick resolution.
- Provide guidance and training to internal customer service staff and external customers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products and procedures, developing innovative solutions for unique situations.
- Record customer contact details into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Profile:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse groups in a dynamic environment.
- Robust mechanical aptitude and technical knowledge related to company products.
- Ability to convey technical information clearly to customers and dealers.
- Technical education degree or equivalent.
- At least three years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in engine-powered product service industry is preferred.
