What you will do

Within a team of experienced engineers, you will be responsible for resolving faults on Colt's Ethernet & Optical services, managing tasks across teams and partners. Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving faults in a pan-European MPLS infrastructure and optical/Ethernet services, adhering to SLAs
• Participating in a 24/7 shift pattern
• Serving as the primary contact for customer issues
• Maintaining relationships with partners and vendors
• Coordinating with field support and third-level support teams
• Documenting incidents and providing updates using Colt's system
• Escalating issues as needed
• Addressing recurring problems and generating technical reports
• Managing software upgrades in coordination with vendors and teams

What we're looking for

Experience with Layer 1-3 network services and technologies, including:

• MSP, Ethernet, DWDM systems: deployment, maintenance, diagnostics
• Network management via GUI and CLI
• Experience with vendors like ADVA, Ciena, Infinera, Nokia, Nortel
• Work with global network providers, NOC, and field support teams
• Teamwork, ownership, and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication skills in German and English
• Formal IT qualifications such as CCNP, CCSP, CCNA
