Why we need this role?

Direct report to the Director of Strategic Development.

As a Client Partner in the EMEA Strategic Development team, you will play a key role in developing business with existing Colt Enterprise customers and new customers in the German and Dach region. You will be an accomplished Enterprise Salesperson engaging with senior IT buying personas and decision makers, including CIO, CISO, and Director-level Executives.

The Client Partner will work proactively within the existing Colt customer base, focusing on low-spending but high-potential accounts to increase Colt's share of customer IT spend by creating and qualifying opportunities and driving engagement with support from the overlay Sales team and local account owners.

Building a 'trusted advisory’ relationship by demonstrating a deep understanding of the customer’s business strategy, market, and industry is essential. The role involves building confidence and trust in Colt Technologies.

This role reports to the Product Management & Strategic Development team and acts as an ambassador for the sales support organization within the region. It is responsible for ensuring each opportunity has the necessary resources to close successfully.

The Dach Client Partner will work closely with the German Regional Sales Director, sales leadership, and Customer Success teams to build engagement plans that facilitate strategic engagements, advisory and innovation workshops, presentations, and meetings that position Colt as the preferred solution provider, working closely with the Dach Technical Client Partner.

What you will do:
  1. Client Relationship Leadership: Build strong relationships with enterprise clients, acting as their trusted advisor. Engage early and proactively drive thought leadership before RFP releases.
  2. Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute account strategies aligned with clients’ business objectives, leveraging Colt’s network and security solutions.
  3. Closing New Business: Create opportunities and lead them to closure, supporting the cross-functional sales team.
  4. Solution Innovation: Collaborate internally to design and deliver innovative, customized solutions exceeding client expectations.
  5. Industry Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of industry trends, market conditions, and the competitive landscape to provide strategic insights.
  6. Contract Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations ensuring favorable terms for Colt and the client.
  7. Business Case & Commercial Leadership: Build and optimize internal cost structures to remain competitive and ensure profitable returns.
  8. Customer Advocacy: Champion client needs within Colt, ensuring high satisfaction and loyalty.
What we're looking for:
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in a senior client-facing role within the technology sector, managing large, complex accounts.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field. An MBA or similar advanced degree is highly desirable.
