Food Safety Manager Position in Amstelveen, Netherlands

A specialist in the development and sale of Asian food is expanding their business in Amstelveen and is seeking a Food Safety Manager to join their international team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for professionals with experience in Food Safety.

Key Details:

• Type: Full-time, initially 1-year contract with potential for permanence
• Working Hours: 9:00-17:30, Monday to Friday
• Salary: €70,000 - €90,000 per annum, including a 1-month bonus and holiday allowance
• Start Date: ASAP (to be determined)
• Location: Amstelveen, Netherlands (with flexible work-from-home options after training)
• Benefits: Transportation allowance, pension, 25 days of annual leave

Responsibilities:

• Report directly to the CEO or CFO of the EMEA region
• Coordinate with Japan HQ on Food Safety Policy
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, standards, and guidelines
• Develop, implement, and maintain HACCP plans
• Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure food safety and quality
• Coordinate internal audits within the EMEA region
• Act as a liaison with internal stakeholders across business units
• Maintain Food Safety Governance

Ideal Candidate:

• Over 10 years of experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance
• Fluent in English
• Deep knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and EU directives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of Japanese culture and language is advantageous
• Proficiency in Dutch or other European languages is a plus
