Solution Architect - German Mission Network (m/w/d)

Start immediately, full- or part-time, nationwide at one of our BWI locations.

The Shared Service Architecture department handles delivery-specific solution development and is responsible for the technical design of complex, cross-cutting, and comprehensive IT solutions within the service lines. The focus is on designing and conceptualizing secure, economical IT solutions that meet customer requirements, leveraging the capabilities of the delivery units. Our strength lies in our well-trained employees, who specialize in one or more technology topics and collaboratively shape and develop our clients' IT infrastructure within virtual teams. The primary activity involves developing solutions for the German Mission Network project, focusing on providing highly automated, virtualized platforms for deploying operational applications for the Bundeswehr.

• Designing solution options for deploying portable data center components to operate an automated platform for Bundeswehr's operational applications.
• Conceiving backend architectures within different information domains to provide virtualized platforms as Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).
• Designing data exchange options between portable and stationary components within a comprehensive deployment scenario.
• Designing portable data center components up to the virtualization layer.

Qualifications:

• Completed degree with a focus on IT or a comparable vocational training.
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in solution architecture as an enterprise, solution, or IT architect, or as a technical IT consultant.
• Extensive knowledge in traditional infrastructure and cloud platforms, plus expertise in at least one of the following: IT security, Identity & Access Management, data center architectures, virtualization platforms, legacy client/server structures.
• Knowledge of the IT Basic Protection Compendium and experience in requirements engineering/management (e.g., IREB).
• Proactive and communicative mindset with a strong solution orientation.
