To strengthen our customer team in Laupheim, we are looking for an EWISS Design Engineer (m/w/d).

Your missions will be:

  • Define electrical schematics (Wiring Diagrams) to ensure system functionality
  • Develop and design electrical systems on an aircraft (EWIS)
  • Design and create electrical harnesses based on customer and industry requirements and standards
  • Perform 2D and 3D modeling of electrical wiring routing within the aircraft
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems into aircraft design
  • Update and incorporate changes into technical drawings
  • Standardize 3D models and drawings according to customer and industry standards
  • Research technical specifications when not provided by the customer
  • Identify root causes and resolve problems
  • Provide technical support to production and engineering teams
  • Share technical knowledge with team members
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understand the requirements of AS 9100 standards as they relate to the role
  • Comply with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and apply related tools when performing tasks

Requirements

About you:

  • At least 8 years of relevant professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in the aerospace or manufacturing sector is an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency with design and modeling software (CATIA V5)
  • Proficiency with Material Resource Planning (MRP) software
  • Knowledge of Mentor Graphics or Corel Draw is an asset
  • Knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, Smarteam, Enovia, and MBOM) is an asset
