Our client is a leading data centre business experiencing rapid growth across EMEA. They focus on leading Hyperscale Projects within key regions across Europe and are known for their fantastic culture and strong leadership team.

They are looking to expand their pre-construction team in Central Europe and are hiring a Senior Pre-Construction Manager in either Frankfurt or Zurich. The role can be based in Germany or Switzerland, preferably near these cities.

The Senior Manager will oversee the Pre-Contract / Pre-Construction stage of Hyperscale Projects in Germany and Switzerland, from early development to GC Contract Award.

You will lead and shape the strategic direction of key developments during this critical project lifecycle stage.

Working with the wider Delivery Functions, you will set up each development for success by establishing the optimal delivery route and selecting a suitable General Contractor that aligns with business requirements.

We seek a Senior Pre-Construction Manager with at least 10 years of experience managing Project Management & Pre-Contract / Construction services on large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Driving the development and pre-contract phases for key projects in these regions
• Coordinating with the development and delivery teams to understand early project phases
• Managing the GC appointment from early development through to GC buy-out, collaborating with internal teams such as Head of Delivery, PMs, and consultants
• Enhancing efficiency during pre-contract stages
• Reporting and communication with internal delivery teams
• Supporting the execution of pre-contract and procurement strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and commercial viability
• Working closely with procurement and project management to establish supply chain processes

Candidates should have a degree in construction, project management, QS, or equivalent, with experience delivering pre-construction services across Europe on projects valued between 50-100m+ and a solid understanding of procurement for large CAPEX projects.

Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills are essential, with strong proficiency in English and German. Good business-level English is also required.
