Position Overview

We’re seeking an inspiring Security Tech Lead who’s ready to mentor and lead the next generation of tech talent. This isn’t your typical teaching role. You’ll be securing Webeet and its clients by researching, designing, and implementing the latest security technology, all while helping our students become industry-ready.

As a Webeet Security Tech Lead, you will play a pivotal role in fostering security excellence. You will mentor young professionals in mastering advanced skills and building their confidence for real-world challenges.

What You’ll Do

• Mentor with Impact : Guide and inspire talented students through their transition to junior an mid-level cyber security roles.
• Lead by Example : Work on client-driven projects, drafting technical documents and policies, and driving teams toward innovative solutions.
• Staying ahead of evolving threats while championing forward-thinking security solutions by ensuring compliance, auditing, and policy oversight.
• Enhance Skills : Conduct security reviews, consider risks, recommend solutions, and close 1 : 1 mentoring to sharpen the team's skills.
• Answer the Call : Field questions throughout the day, providing guidance and expertise to students as they navigate challenges.
• Deliver Excellence : Lead hands-on studio projects, ensuring security, compliance, and risk at all levels.
• Cloud : AWS Security (AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, AWS Config, Amazon GuardDuty, AWS Security Hub, Amazon Inspector, AWS WAF, AWS Shield, Amazon Macie, VPC Flow Logs).
• Frameworks : SOC2, ISO27001, NIST, COBIT.
• Networking : SaaS / PaaS / IaaS configuration.

Qualifications

• Certifications : Essential : Security+ / SSCP / 5+ years relevant experience considered. Desirable : CEH / CISA / ISO 27001 LI / LA or similar.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Security Services (IAM, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, etc.)
• Incident response : Splunk / Elastic or knowledge of similar tools.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• A passion for mentoring and empowering the next generation of tech talent.
• Experience as a team lead or mentor is a significant advantage.
• Remote work experience is a plus.
