Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing financial statements in IFRS and HGB, and year-end reports following legal requirements for all German entities.
  • Managing the end-to-end intercompany recharging process.
  • Overseeing fixed assets and leased assets reporting, including stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensuring all financials are audit and SOX compliant, and adhere to internal controls and governance procedures.
  • Monitoring capital management, reserves, and external reports for stakeholders.
  • Leading projects such as automation, standardization, and process improvements.
  • Managing a small team of corporate analysts and potentially a junior manager.
  • Embodying BAT Values: Inclusivity, Collaboration, Integrity, Customer Focus, Passion for Success, and Trust.

What are we looking for?

  • University degree in Finance or Economics with professional accountancy qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a dynamic corporate environment, ideally FMCG or matrix organization.
  • Strong numeracy, attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to interpret complex data.
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in SAP, BPC, and MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Power BI).
  • Resilient, flexible, and confident working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Proven ability to deliver end-to-end projects with purpose.
  • People leadership experience.

Benefits and Work Environment:

  • Attractive benefits including subsidies, discounts, training, and development opportunities.
  • Flexible working hours—remote or office-based.
  • Modern office with Alster view, Oasis area, and regular social events.
  • Opportunity to shape industry transformation and drive continuous improvement.
