Duties
- Sets up bars for operation, obtains cash bank, and stocks the service bar. Ensures an adequate stock level is maintained and arranges the storeroom and work area for easy access to stock items.
- Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff. Records sales, makes change or prepares charge slips, and keeps the bar and work area clean and sanitary.
- Identifies unruly or intoxicated persons, resolves issues, or seeks assistance following established procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Conditions of Employment
- Must obtain a USAREUR and TMP driver's license.
- Required: Direct Deposit and Social Security Card.
- Meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements.
- A probation period of one year may be required.
- Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks, including a Tier 1 background investigation, per AR 215-3, 2-13.
- May require irregular hours, evenings, and weekends.
- Must be at least 18 years old at appointment.
- Capable of lifting 20 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications
Skills and Knowledge:
- Skill in mixing drinks with alcoholic beverages, beer, and soda.
- Basic arithmetic skills for calculating bills and making change.
- Ability to recognize intoxicated and unruly patrons.
Responsibility
- Receives specific instructions for new or unusual tasks.
- Performs routine work independently without close supervision.
Physical Effort
- Lifts and carries items weighing up to 20 pounds regularly.
- Occasionally lifts up to 40 pounds.
- Stands for prolonged periods.
Working Conditions
Primarily indoors, with exposure to cuts and bruises.
Candidate Must
- Meet state/local age requirements for alcohol service (at least 18 years).
- Lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Possess math skills for billing and inventory.
- Skill in mixing and serving beverages.
Education
No formal education requirements.
