In support of our ambition to advance communication technologies, Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a Master Thesis / Internship on Experimental Quantum Communication (d/f/m).

Duration: 6 months

You will join our quantum communication research team, contributing to the development of secure communication networks for Airbus.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Develop methods and solutions for quantum communication using free space links
  • Perform experiments with quantum communication testbenches
  • Write scripts and code to interface instruments and analyze data
  • Conduct hands-on laboratory and conceptual work
Desired Skills and Qualifications
  • Enrolled full-time master student in Physics, Quantum Technologies, Engineering, or related field
  • Understanding of physical optics and quantum mechanics principles
  • Experience with optical components and aligning optical setups
  • Interest or knowledge in quantum communication protocols
  • Familiarity with Linux, command-line tools, and Python programming
