Stackpole International is a globally operating company within the Johnson Electric Group. Our Aachen development center focuses on the development of hydraulic systems and sintered metal applications for the automotive and industrial sectors.

We are seeking a Systems Engineer to support our systems engineering department, working with global project teams. Responsibilities include system design, architecture, requirements management, testing, and customer interactions, contributing to highly integrated mechatronic systems.

The role involves working within a cross-functional team to develop hydraulic systems for the automotive industry, integrating oil-pumps, brushless motors, controllers, software, and other components.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop mechatronic systems following the V-Model and automotive standards.
  • Analyze requirements, define sub-systems and interfaces.
  • Coordinate with global expert teams.
  • Design and develop system architectures.
  • Collaborate on system integration of hydraulics, electronics, and software.
  • Support testing and validation strategies at system and integration levels.
  • Work closely with customers and internal development teams.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in reading and creating technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Experience with CAD systems.
  • Understanding of FEA and CFD results.
  • Practical experience with mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Solid experience with development tools like Matlab and Simulink.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., Doors, Helix) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in both English and German (spoken and written).
  • Strong team player with a proactive, hands-on attitude.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of physical principles.
  • Ability to set and adhere to milestones.
