Job Description

Join our team and play a pivotal role in generating actionable labor market insights and driving thought leadership initiatives.

Working in the Insights & Creation department, you will collaborate across departments to create impactful research content, support brand communication strategies, and establish Stepstone as a trusted voice in the world of work.

You will be vital in reimagining the labor market to make it work for everyone.

Your responsibilities:

  1. Insights Generation: Manage research projects to uncover labor market trends, producing data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.
  2. Data Storytelling & Thought Leadership: Translate complex research findings into compelling narratives that drive content production, enhance external communications, and improve presentations—delivering lasting impact on target audiences.
  3. Presentations: Represent Stepstone at national and international events by presenting findings clearly and engagingly.
  4. Collaboration: Partner with sales, marketing, and external stakeholders to align research outputs with business goals and create tailored content for diverse audiences.
  5. Networking: Build relationships with industry professionals, media, and academic communities to promote Stepstone’s thought leadership.
  6. Mentoring & Leadership: Oversee and mentor junior researchers, ensuring high standards in methodology and execution.

Qualifications

  • A strong academic background with highly developed methodological skills; a PhD in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, sociology, economics, or political science) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in labor market research, HR, or related fields.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, interpretation, and storytelling.
  • Confident in presenting to senior executives and diverse audiences, including on stage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills to engage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic, KPI-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into impactful business strategies.
  • Experience managing research projects or mentoring team members.
  • Fluent in German and English.
