Responsibilities
- Monitor, challenge, and report on relevant financial and risk KPIs, as well as deltas to plan for the group-wide Energy Markets function and E.ON Energy Markets GmbH.
- Develop a state-of-the-art reporting infrastructure for Energy Markets portfolios and enable automation for visualization.
- Enhance transparency of value drivers, especially cost structure and cash flow, along with financial KPIs.
- Review complex or special transaction approvals from a controlling perspective.
- Prepare the Mid-Term Plan (MTP) for Energy Markets for the E.ON SE board, providing transparency on costs and inter-company charges.
- Create and deliver ad-hoc analyses, reports, and presentations for executive stakeholders and decision-making bodies.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders including Group Financial Controlling, Business Controlling, regional Risk & Finance functions, Energy Markets teams, Group Finance, Digital Technology, and the board.
Requirements
- Numerate and analytical university degree.
- Experience in the energy sector, including procurement, sales, or trading as an analyst, economist, controller, risk manager, or front officer.
- Proven track record in automating data processes or data visualization (Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong commercial understanding of performance drivers in commodity or energy portfolios, with the ability to explain root causes clearly to stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to partner, tell stories, and empathize.
- Excellent understanding of power, gas, and renewable markets.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic, high-performance environment; proactive, self-motivated, flexible regarding workload and priorities.
- Languages: English required; German advantageous.
