Job Overview:
Oakwell Hampton are seeking a dynamic and experienced Procurement Manager to join the growing team of one of our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of IT hardware and gaming accessories, ensuring cost-effective sourcing and optimizing supplier relationships. Your procurement expertise will directly impact our success as we continue to grow in a fast-paced, innovative industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement activities for gaming accessories and IT hardware, ensuring high-quality products are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively
- Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, finance, and operations, to align procurement strategies with business needs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers in the gaming, tech, and hardware industries
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers, ensuring the best value and compliance with company standards
- Develop and implement procurement processes to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely deliveries, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness
- Track procurement budget and identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining product quality and availability
- Stay up to date with trends in the gaming and tech industries, sourcing new suppliers and exploring emerging technologies
- Ensure procurement activities are compliant with relevant regulations and company policies
Key Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement, ideally within the gaming, tech, or hardware industries
- Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiation
- Familiarity with procurement software/tools (e.g., SAP, Coupa)
- Experience in managing the procurement of gaming accessories and IT hardware is preferred
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with internal teams and external suppliers effectively
- Analytical skills to assess procurement data and supplier performance
- Fluent in English (additional language skills are a plus)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in gaming or consumer electronics procurement
- Knowledge of e-commerce procurement processes
- Awareness of sustainability and ethical sourcing in the tech industry
