Job Description:

The project development team is responsible for developing large battery projects in the European markets, aiming to bring them to construction maturity and sell project rights to investors. The team collaborates with local authorities, grid operators, and project development partners.

Your contribution to the big picture

• Qualify and develop battery storage projects in selected markets, from initial assessment to start of construction.
• Identify potential co-development partners and opportunities; drive negotiations to structure collaborations.
• Manage strategic relationships with local stakeholders, network operators, authorities, and coordinate with internal departments and external partners.
• Negotiate contracts, communicate project status, and perform financial analysis and modeling of projects' business cases.
• Evaluate new target markets regarding the business case for battery storage and local project opportunities.

Required skills

• University degree in economics, business administration, finance, renewable energy, or a related technical-economic field.
• Experience in renewable energy project development, M&A, and understanding of market fundamentals influencing investment decisions.
• Ideally, experience with PV and battery systems, with knowledge of European electricity markets, grid ancillary services, and revenue streams relevant to battery storage projects.
• Structured, independent, proactive work style, with strong commitment, teamwork, and communication skills for effective management interaction.
• Willingness to travel within Europe and internationally.
