Job Description:

Eppendorf is a leading life science company that develops and sells instruments, consumables, and services for liquid-, sample-, and cell handling in laboratories worldwide. Our products are used in academic and commercial research laboratories, including pharmaceutical, biotechnological, chemical, and food industries.

As part of the Sales Zone team, your responsibilities include:

  1. Developing sales according to our Go-to-Market strategy and managing the entire sales budget (Direct & Indirect) within your assigned territory based on zip codes.
  2. Focusing on acquiring new clients and generating leads remotely to improve coverage of mid-to-low density territories, while maintaining relationships with existing customers, including those with mid-to-low potential.
  3. Interacting remotely with clients via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
  4. Identifying potential customers through research and outreach via outbound cold calls and emails.
  5. Using CRM software to track interactions, sales activities, and customer information, and following up regularly to nurture relationships.
  6. Understanding our products/services thoroughly to communicate their benefits effectively and tailor sales pitches to customer needs.
  7. Collaborating with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to achieve sales goals and preparing reports on market trends, customer preferences, and sales performance.
  8. Ensuring customer satisfaction post-sale and exploring opportunities for upselling and fostering long-term relationships for repeat business and referrals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences, Engineering, or a related field, preferably with a focus on Life Sciences.
  • Proven sales success and ability to build sustainable customer relationships.
  • Initial experience in selling laboratory products (biotechnology) or laboratory operations, ideally three years.
  • Customer-centric mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in German and French is a plus.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, ERP/SAP, Abacus, and Excel.
  • Discretion, reliability, networking skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and an independent, structured working style.
