Your Role

We are tooz technologies, a spin-off of ZEISS, focused on the development and production of optics for smart glasses with vision correction. To complete our team, we are looking for a Scientist - Optical Design and Simulation (m/f/d). Your responsibilities include working on the optical design and simulation of complex optical systems for AR and VR data glasses. You will analyze, design, and optimize optical systems considering manufacturing and metrology aspects, as well as visual image perception. You will examine the influences of manufacturing tolerances on optical performance and develop optimization suggestions. Additionally, you will advise and support measurement technology development with your simulations.

Your Profile

• A PhD in physics or mathematics
• Very good knowledge of Optics and Optical Design
• Experience in design and simulation of optical systems with CODE V, Zemax, LightTools, and Speos
• Knowledge in using CAD software and mechanical analysis tools to optimize optomechanical performance
• A creative and goal-oriented approach with a desire to solve complex problems
• Excellent English skills for daily discussions with colleagues and customers
