Über uns

This role is available at both Level 4 and Level 5. If your experience aligns with Level 4, we encourage you to apply for that position. Amazon is seeking a number of Site Process Experts to work in the EU Process Excellence (EUSC PE) team. The Site Process Expert is a field onsite position that will need to adapt to local shift requirements, depending on operational needs. Roles will be based in one of our Sortation Centres (SC) across the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, and France.

The EU PE team consists of operational leaders driving process stabilization, standardization, and continuous improvement across the EU SC network. This team is essential for establishing best-in-class process performance, accelerating technological advancements, and enhancing technical and process knowledge among operational leaders.

EU PE ensures operational teams are equipped with the expertise to deliver technological and process improvements, focusing on minimizing variation and delivering strong performance. The team collaborates closely with Core Process Experts (CPE), Change Managers (CM), operations, Ops Excellence, program teams, engineering, and RME teams to improve process metrics.

The Site Process Expert works alongside the SC Senior Leadership Team and maintains high collaboration with EU PE functions. Responsibilities include deploying initiatives, building networks within the SC, driving compliance, and implementing EU-wide improvement activities. The role requires ownership, detailed understanding of initiatives, and influence to achieve tangible productivity and efficiency gains. Additionally, the role offers opportunities to learn Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques, progressing toward Green/Yellow Belt certification.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Back to Basics (B2B) initiatives: Identify top opportunities by comparing processes across EU SCs, focusing on the bottom 50%, and implementing improvement plans with local operations.
  2. Oversee the SC improvement program: Prioritize focus areas based on leadership alignment, analyze process performance, and convert insights into actionable plans.
  3. Review open Action Plans: Conduct weekly reviews with stakeholders to ensure completion and achievement of targets.
  4. Collaborate with CPE functions and other Site PEs: Clarify process-related doubts and leverage expertise, with benchmarking initiatives to reduce variation.
Continuous Improvement
  1. Implement network best practices: Drive adoption of best practices, contribute to the EU repository, and support variation reduction.
  2. Capture and scale innovations: Manage a standard process for new ideas and projects, presenting them for review.
Partnership with SC Operations
  1. Join daily Gemba walks: Stay aligned with top issues and gather associate feedback.
  2. Support Site Leadership: Build trust and buy-in for initiatives, assist with process-related ad hoc tasks, and be flexible to deploy to site management as needed.
  3. Travel: Ability to travel within your area, estimated at 0-10%, subject to change.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in English and the local language (C1 level)
  • Experience in Amazon Operations or similar roles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies
  • Knowledge of change management and continuous improvement practices
