Medical Scientific Liaison - Oncology (f/m/d)Region North
Focus will be on:
- Identify and develop relationships with national and regional medical and scientific KOLs consistent with the strategy and objectives of Medical Affairs and overall Ipsen strategies
- Engage in scientific exchange and education about current and emerging therapies in a compliant fashion with KOLs (including advisory boards, individual meetings, and congresses)
- Develop and maintain scientific, clinical, and therapeutic expertise in Oncology
- Represent the company at continuing medical educational events, programs, medical meetings, and scientific conventions
- Collaborate with clinical development to identify and engage appropriate sites for Ipsen trials and leverage disease concepts for product differentiation
- Differentiate Ipsen as a valued scientific partner through innovative initiatives, strategy, and scientific communication
- Provide scientific, clinical, and educational support for internal cross-functional teams
- Support medical publications (abstracts, manuscripts, etc.) as needed
- Participate in Speaker and Representative Training to support commercial operations
- Lead or participate in special project teams as necessary
- Support cross-functional teams to ensure patient-focused operations, responding rapidly to internal and external requests and providing medical affairs support
Qualifications require:
- Advanced scientific, healthcare, or medical degree (PharmD, PhD, MD)
- Experience in medical practice or research (hospital, university, pharmaceutical industry, medical affairs)
- At least 2 years' experience in an MSL or related role with a proven track record
- Recent experience in Oncology is preferred; experience in other therapeutic areas is a plus
- Ability to deliver scientific presentations and build relationships with Thought Leaders
- Strong ability to synthesize and communicate medical information
- Knowledge in data analysis, statistics, and compliance regulations
- Solution-oriented team player with good communication skills
- Willingness to travel approximately 60-80%
- Fluent in German and English
