This role acts as a link between the control & automation department and the engineering department for business development and capex projects (up to €10 million investment). Your expertise in automation technology will support all investment projects throughout their lifecycle, from scoping and feasibility to technical specifications, implementation, and documentation.

How you will contribute

You will support the plant engineering team on digitalization, automation, cloud software rollout, IoT, SAP integration, robotic systems, and applications aimed at improving plant operations, maintenance, quality, process control, and sustainability.

• Focus on value creation, scalability, and application catalogues.
• Collaborate with regional engineering teams to leverage cloud solutions for efficiency, productivity, and user experience.

What you will bring

Experience and knowledge in:

• PLC and SCADA programming for various production processes.
• Real-time process monitoring and manufacturing system expertise.
• Engineering degree (Master preferred).
• At least 2 years in Industry 4.0 digitalization or automation in manufacturing.
• Experience with IoT sensors, robotics, AGV/AMR.
• Support in digitizing manufacturing and engineering processes.
• Project management skills, including budgeting and resources.
• Proficiency in MS Office and collaboration tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English and advanced German.

Additional skills

• Knowledge of PLC control systems, SCADA (Siemens and Rockwell).
• Safety automation, Ethernet networks, cybersecurity.
• Robotics, industrial vision, SAP, middleware, AI/ML, Edge/Cloud.
• Basic SQL, network-PLC interaction, automation pyramid.
• Stakeholder collaboration, multicultural teamwork.

Travel requirements: Up to twice per month within Europe.

The role operates within a regional business model managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland. No relocation support is provided, but minimal support is available for international moves through our Volunteer International Transfer Policy.
