Job summary

AveThera is seeking a motivated DSP Technician to support downstream processing in a GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. You will execute manufacturing steps, prepare GMP documentation, and maintain safety and quality in cleanroom operations.

Qualifications include a laboratory background (CTA/BTA or CL/BL or STEM degree), fluency in German or English, and strong attention to detail. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on process execution and technology

Qualifications

• Completed training as Chemical/Biological Lab Assistant (CL/BL) or CTA/BTA.
• Bachelor's degree in biotechnology, pharmacy or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
• Structured, reliable and quality-oriented working style.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out biotechnological manufacturing processes in accordance with approved manufacturing documents and protocols.
• Work in classified cleanroom environments in compliance with GMP and safety requirements.
• Prepare buffers and media for manufacturing operations.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing GMP documents, including Batch records, SOPs, CCOs, CAPAs, and deviations.
• Assist in preparation of health and safety documentation and training programmes.
• Support equipment maintenance, qualification and calibration activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during process execution and technology transfers.

Your mission

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented DSP Technician to support downstream processing activities within a GMP-regulated biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the execution of manufacturing processes, preparation of GMP documentation, and maintenance of high-quality and safety standards in cleanroom operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out biotechnological manufacturing processes in accordance with approved manufacturing documents and protocols
• Work in classified cleanroom environments in compliance with GMP and safety requirements
• Prepare buffers and media for manufacturing operations
• Support the drafting and review of GMP documents, including:
  • Batch records
  • SOPs
  • Change Controls (CCOs)
  • CAPAs
  • Deviations
• Assist in the preparation of health and safety documentation and training programmes
• Support equipment maintenance, qualification, and calibration activities
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and compliance activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during process execution and technology transfers

Your profile

• Fluent in German or English
• Degree:
  • Completed training as Chemical/ Biological Laboratory Assistant (CL/BL) or Chemical/ Biological Technical Assistant (CTA/BTA) OR
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in biotechnology, pharmacy, or a related scientific field
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance
• Structured, reliable, and quality-oriented working style
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment
• Experience drafting GMP documentation such as
  • Batch records
  • SOPs
  • CCOs
  • CAPAs
  • deviations
• Experience supporting or conducting process transfers
• Professional experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing
• Hands‑on experience with downstream processing technologies, including:
  • Liquid chromatography for protein purification (Protein A, HIC/HIA, IEX)
  • Tangential flow filtration (TFF)
  • Dead‑end filtration
  • Sterilefiltration
  • Virus inactivation and virus filtration
