Job Description:

Design and develop drivetrain and wheels components, including wheel trim, inserts, center caps, and other parts from initial concept through to production.

Establish component requirements based on desired vehicle attributes.

Complete component DFMEAs, DVPs, and contribute to system failure mode analyses.

Collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers, utilizing creativity and teamwork to achieve design excellence at system and component levels.

Coordinate virtual engineering and physical validation testing activities for your designs.

Manage multiple complex projects in a demanding environment.

Work closely with the design studio, CAE department, and validation team.

Require a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Prefer automotive industry experience focused on wheel design, wheel inserts, and wheel trims.

Experience in designing components from concept to production, with hands-on prototype assembly.

Provide expertise in technology, system, and supplier selection.

Lead projects and mentor team members.

Manage design release engineering, including change management and project execution.

Determine tolerances using GD&T principles.
