Qualifikationen

The position is available in accordance with § 2 WissZeitVG and § 72 HessHG, offering the opportunity for academic qualification at the Centre for Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Science at the Faculty of Psychology and Sports Science. The salary is in accordance with the collective labour agreement of the State of Hessen (E 13 TV-H).

As long as the maximum permissible duration of a fixed-term contract is not exceeded, you will be employed for an initial period of 3 years. An extension for up to another 2 years is possible under the above-mentioned condition.

Your Responsibilities

• Opportunity for own academic and didactic qualification, activities in research and teaching according to § 72 HessHG
• Conducting research and teaching in the field of Cognition (particularly memory, thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, social cognition, and spatial cognition)
• Teaching duties (2 teaching hours per week) in accordance with the Teaching Obligation Ordinance of the State of Hesse

Your Qualifications and Skills

• A completed Master´s or equivalent university degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field
• Strong interest in cognitive psychology and scientific curiosity
• Excellent methodological knowledge in experimental psychology, fMRI, and/or cognitive modelling
• Good command of English
• Openness to “thinking outside the box”
