The Mathematics Münster Graduate School at the University of Münster, Germany, is seeking to fill up to 12 positions for
to commence at the earliest possible date. Positions are available in all mathematical fields related to the work being undertaken at the Cluster of Excellence Mathematics Münster: “Dynamics – Geometry – Structure”.
German Research Foundation (DFG), either through the Cluster of Excellence Mathematics Münster, the Collaborative Research Centre “Geometry: Deformations and Rigidity”, the Research Training Group “Rigorous Analysis of Complex Random Systems”, or the project “High-dimensional cohomology of arithmetic groups”, while others are funded by the University of Münster’s mathematical institutes, for example the Chair for Applied Analysis. The financial terms of the positions remain consistent regardless of the funding source
These positions are designed to working towards a doctorate (Dr. rer. nat.) in any mathematical field related to the work being undertaken at the Cluster of Excellence Mathematics Münster. Supported by a local supervisor chosen from among the investigators at Mathematics Münster, you will pursue your own research project. Depending on the source of funding, you may be required to teach up 4 hours per week during the semester (for full-time positions).
