Job summary

Avomind in Berlin seeks an Operations Control Center professional to monitor and document railway operations, coordinating with customers and staff while ensuring duty schedules and time regulations are followed.

Responsibilities include planning wagon lists, distributing timetables, supporting dispatching and emergency management, and maintaining project databases within our management systems. German (B1–B2) and English (B2) are required.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training or equivalent qualification.
• First aider training and basic safety know‑how.
• Fluent in German (B1–B2) and English (B2).
• Experience in railway-oriented tasks or dispatching is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document operational ad‑hoc processes in designated systems.
• Communicate with customers, staff, and external personnel.
• Ensure compliance with duty schedules and working hours regulations.
• Reconcile actual vs planned working times in schedules and databases.
• Prepare and distribute wagon lists per project requirements.
• Provide timetables and FPLO documents to train drivers on request.
• Place timetable orders in ad‑hoc operations when needed.
• Maintain train movement overviews and project databases.
• Plan and monitor accommodation needs for ad‑hoc operations.
• Support emergency management per internal guidelines.
• Implement requirements from the company’s management systems.

Job description

The function of the Operations Control Center (Disposition Leitstelle) includes the following responsibilities:

• Monitoring and documentation of all operational ad‑hoc processes in the designated systems.
• Active communication with customers, internal employees, and externally deployed personnel.
• Ensuring compliance with duty schedules as specified by the dispatchers for operational staff.
• Monitoring adherence to working hours and break regulations for operational staff.
• Reconciliation of actual and planned working times, including the entry of actual times into duty schedules and relevant databases.
• Preparation and needs‑based distribution of wagon lists according to project requirements.
• Provision and distribution of timetables and FPLO documents to train drivers on request.
• Placing timetable orders in ad‑hoc operations when required.
• Maintaining and updating train movement overviews and project‑related databases for ongoing projects.
• Planning and monitoring accommodation requirements in ad‑hoc operations.
• Ensuring implementation and compliance with emergency management in accordance with internal guidelines.
• Implementation of requirements arising from the company’s management systems.

• Completed vocational training or an equivalent qualification
• Training as an occupational first aider
• Knowledge of applicable legal regulations, the company’s organizational structure, and the implemented management systems
• German language proficiency at B1-B2 level
• English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level
• Confident user skills in MS Office
• Professional experience in railway‑specific activities and/or in dispatching within the railway sector is desirable.
