Job Title: Discovery Account Manager (NorthWest Germany)

The Discovery Account Manager is responsible for customer relationship management across the account. This position serves as the primary contact between the company and customers, growing the business through an understanding of the market, an awareness of customer needs, and knowledge of the product portfolio.

This position reports to the Discovery AM Zone Leader and is part of the Discovery & Medical OpCo located in Germany. This position will be fully remote.

What you will do:

  • Represent Cytiva and function as a primary customer point of contact in all allocated accounts and in the territory for Discovery customer segments.
  • Expand the business, gain market share, and grow sales & order at expected margins. Achieve annual/quarterly targets through successful promotion of all business technologies and capabilities relevant to this account.
  • Provide technical support, leveraging technical specialists where needed, aligned with customer workflows and activities to develop and support solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Identify opportunities and support the team in developing them.
  • Develop and maintain a full understanding of the Cytiva value proposition and a high-level knowledge of competitive products and services.
  • Prospecting, forecasting, generating proposals, preparing sales quotations, and initiating and planning customer visits at all levels of the customer organization.
  • Negotiate master agreements and contracts, including terms and conditions, as well as facilitating tender responses to customers from the account in conjunction with product sales specialists as needed.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of commercial experience, preferably in the Biotechnology industry.
  • Sales techniques include cross-selling, upselling, value positions, and funnel management.
  • Ability to translate technical advantages into business benefits.
  • Experience working with QlikSense and/or Sales Force.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 60% including overnight within Germany.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • DBS (Danaher Business System) growth tools.
  • Experience working with QlikSense and/or Sales Force.
