Job summary

AMETEK is seeking a Director of Supply Chain Management / Purchasing to provide global strategic and operational leadership for the end-to-end supply chain. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, business or SCM (MBA preferred).
• 10–15+ years of experience in supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• Global, multi-site leadership experience.
• Strong background in purchasing, planning, logistics and supplier management.
• Data-driven, financially oriented decision making.
• Experience with ERP systems and digital supply chain tools.
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

The Director of Supply Chain Management / Purchasing provides global strategic and operational leadership for the end‑to‑end supply chain function. The role is responsible for defining and executing a robust, scalable, and resilient supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives, customer requirements and the AMETEK operating model. A key focus is the sustainable improvement of On‑Time Delivery (OTD), lead time reduction and optimization of cost, inventory and working capital. The position reports to the Vice President of Operations and serves as the global functional owner for Supply Chain Management and Purchasing.
