Director / Senior Manager Financial Services Credit Risk / IFRS 9 ECL (w/m/d)

A team of experts supports our clients such as tier 1 credit institutions, leasing companies, fintechs or asset managers within the financial services industry. Hereby we provide customized and best in class audit and advisory services locally on the ground and leverage our global network for international collaborations. WHAT TO EXPECT:
  • The development of your team and your employees is important to you, so you provide coaching and regular feedback and take on leadership responsibility. You are aware that you are a role model for your employees.
  • For our clients you are the face of the client and lead of subject matter related questions in the area of credit risk & IFRS ECL. This covers an end to end view on accounting, modelling, validation and model risk management areas for a broad set of traditional credit products and banking business models.
  • You provide continuous regulatory benchmarking and market sounding to the senior management of our clients and foster client relationships to build out your BDO footprint.
  • You take over the lead of a highly qualified and ambitious team to serve our international clients in a best in class practice. Hereby you establish great team spirit and working culture and sharpen the analytical skills of your team in a continuous development pathway.
  • You are curious about current trends and developments and independently prepare offers and develop your business case.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
  • You completed your Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics, law or other relevant studies and more than 6 years of professional experience in capital markets, risk management, risk controlling, credit risk quantification or the finance department at a bank, consultancy or auditing firm.
  • You can analyze complex issues very well and have strong communication skills in German and English. You can confidently present your work results to clients.
  • You are characterized by your open-minded personality, your thirst for knowledge and you show commitment, curiosity and enjoy your work.
  • You will also expand your professional network outside the project teams within the BDO network and with our clients' employees. You attach great importance to long-term, partnership-based relationships with our clients.
