The Position :

OpenTable is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Sales & Services to oversee restaurant retention, acquisition, and revenue growth within their designated district in Germany. This role will lead a team of Sales Representatives and Account Managers, navigating local market conditions to ensure effective territory management and business expansion.

The ideal candidate will have a growth-oriented mindset, capable of overcoming challenges in restaurant acquisition and retention. They will drive innovative strategies and solutions, pushing boundaries to meet ambitious targets. Building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and potential clients in the German market will also be critical.

In this role you will :
  1. Hire, train, mentor, and lead a team of Account Managers and Account Executives to consistently exceed sales and retention targets.
  2. Use business acumen to identify growth drivers, providing data-driven strategies and compelling proposals for revenue expansion.
  3. Build strong relationships with key customers to ensure high satisfaction and loyalty.
  4. Maintain in-depth knowledge of all OpenTable products and services, positioning them effectively to meet customer needs.
  5. Communicate regularly and transparently with team members, peers, and stakeholders to align efforts and ensure success.
  6. Partner with regional marketing to execute B2B and B2C initiatives for business growth.
  7. Collaborate with strategic partners to identify and leverage key partnership opportunities within the German market.

  1. You have 8 years of experience in SaaS sales strategy and account management with a proven track record of business growth.
  2. You have at least 4 years of successful leadership managing sales and account management teams, focusing on localized strategies.
  3. You possess strong analytical skills to extract insights from data and develop effective strategies.

  5. You are confident in navigating challenging customer conversations.

  8. You have a strong passion for the hospitality industry.
  9. Familiarity with local markets is highly desirable.
  10. Native German language skills are preferred; excellent English written and verbal skills are essential.
  11. You are proficient with Google Suite and Salesforce CRM.
  12. You are willing to travel regionally and internationally as needed.
