Your role in our team

1. Strategy & Market Development

• Develop and execute a clear Sales & Operations strategy for all market segments in alignment with global product lines and divisional leadership.
• Actively manage the product and service portfolio, anticipate market trends, and drive profitable customer and volume growth.
• Represent Oerlikon Germany towards customers, employees, global leadership, and key stakeholders.

Business Performance & Operational Excellence

• Ensure delivery of financial and operational targets (monthly, annual, mid-term planning).
• Manage KPIs, risks, and continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas.
• Optimize cost structures, resource allocation, and service footprint while ensuring compliance and quality standards.

Sales Excellence & Customer Centricity

• Build and lead a customer-focused sales organization with fast decision-making and deep market knowledge.
• Identify and develop new market opportunities, implement value-based pricing strategies, and strengthen customer relationships.

People & Leadership Development

• Lead, mentor, and grow the German leadership team and broader organization.
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous talent development in line with Oerlikon’s human capital strategy.

Your profile

1. University degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or similar.
2. At least 5 years’ experience as managing director with P&L and legal responsibility, ideally in a technology-based production or manufacturing environment.
3. Several years’ experience managing profit centers, ideally with a service business model close to coating technology.
4. Fluent reading and writing in German and English. Any other European language is a plus.
5. Solid experience in global account management.
6. Experience managing multiple locations and remote teams.
7. Experience in creating and implementing organization-wide projects, strategies, or transformation agendas with proven results.
