Your Team

Our design team is at the core of our dynamic workplace, focusing on the intersection of User Experience, Technology, and Business. Our mission is to:

1. Understand merchant needs and challenges in their ecosystem
2. Identify simple and meaningful solutions
3. Partner with product and engineering to develop holistic systems and architectures for pragmatic solutions

You will work alongside ambitious Product Managers and Designers on complex, globally impactful problems.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead by example, contributing to design projects from concept, balancing hands-on work with strategic oversight
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and stakeholders to create user-centered solutions aligned with business goals
• Prioritize design opportunities with product managers and translate them into high-quality deliverables
• Mentor a growing team of designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture
• Manage our design system, working with frontend engineers to ensure consistency and efficiency
• Facilitate alignment and discussions with stakeholders, iterating quickly to keep pace with our fast-evolving environment
• Handle both strategic and tactical design tasks, including UI/UX design, prototyping, and interaction design in Figma

You'll Be Great for This Role If

• You have 10+ years of hands-on product design experience, with at least 5 years leading teams or projects in high-growth environments, preferably startups or tech companies
• You are skilled in enterprise-level product design and enjoy being involved from ideation to implementation
• You thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced settings, switching seamlessly between strategy and hands-on design
• You think holistically about user and business needs, balancing outcomes and tradeoffs in a lean startup context
• You are proficient in Figma, capable of creating and iterating high-quality designs, and can clearly articulate your decision-making process
• You are comfortable synthesizing feedback, making quick informed decisions, and adapting to change
• You bring a collaborative, proactive mindset, with excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire cross-functional teams
• You have a portfolio demonstrating your design thinking, problem-solving skills, and measurable impact, especially in complex domains like payments
