Job Title: Director Operations (M/F/D)
Location: Eberbach, Germany (Onsite)
Position Summary
The Director of Operations will be responsible for developing strategies and setting goals for the operations area, ensuring the achievement of these goals, maintaining high product quality with optimal production costs in a safe environment for employees, and overseeing organizational and technical development while considering legal requirements.
The Role
- Overall responsibility for achieving production goals, ensuring high product quality, on-time execution of the production plan, and optimal production costs within pharmaceutical regulations.
- Development and implementation of production concepts and programs.
- Provide leadership to managers of Pre-Encapsulation, Encapsulation, Finishing, and Production Support departments.
- Manage the production budget, ensure adherence, and optimize production and maintenance costs.
- Modernize the factory and lead investment projects and maintenance programs.
- Ensure the ongoing development of machine and process technology.
- Continuously develop the organization and employees, implementing employee development programs in cooperation with Human Resources.
- Implement continuous improvement and Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Support product and process development efforts.
- Develop and execute programs for occupational safety and environmental protection in collaboration with EHS management.
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Candidate
- University degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, Logistics, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible managerial experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with experience in manufacturing and packaging.
- A proven track record of implementing continuous improvement practices while demonstrating strong management and leadership skills.
- Commercially oriented with excellent interpersonal skills and experience in leading change management programs to improve efficiency.
- Preferably experienced with Operational Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
