The Director of Quality Control will develop and implement a periodical evaluation program to ensure the organization`s production operations, from raw materials to finished products, meet the quality, integrity and efficiency standards set by the organization. This position is an unlimited position.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leads and manages the Quality Control department and its supervisory team
  • Conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations to support employee development
  • Handles disciplinary actions and employee terminations in compliance with company policies
  • Evaluates production operations from a strategic level to ensure that products meet quality, integrity, functionality, and other specifications and requirements
  • Collaborate with management and senior staff across production departments and roles to draft acceptable quality standards
  • Builds a high-performing organization, including the vision for the lab of the future
  • Coordinate laboratory related business planning and budget management
  • Implement and sustain lean QC Operational excellence principles
  • Facilitates effective communication between production divisions and management
  • Assesses test results and approves recommended changes as needed
  • Reviews of quality control documentation, such as checklists, logs, and reports, for accuracy, effectiveness, and relevance
  • Conducts random inspections and quality control checks
  • Provides periodic reports on the status of quality control and operations to executive leadership, and regulatory agencies when required
  • Ensure safe work environment that aligns with regulations
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
YOUR PROFILE
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Microbiology or comparable field.
  • Master`s degree is preferred
  • 8 -10 years of related experience required with at least 5 years as a quality engineer or similar role highly preferred
  • Several years of experience as a team leader or supervisory
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train the staff
  • Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
  • Also, strong understanding of manufacturing and production in the industry.
  • Excellent demonstrated business acumen
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
