Qualifikationen

  • 8-10 Jahre Erfahrung im Qualitätsmanagement, davon 5 Jahre in einer Führungsposition.
  • Umfassendes Verständnis von Qualitätsstandards und Produktionsprozessen.

As part of Elanco Animal Health, KVP Pharma + Veterinär Produkte GmbH has been producing around 175 different medicines for more than 50 years. Our products, which cover the entire spectrum of pharmaceutical dosage forms, are sold worldwide.

We are looking for a Director of Quality Control (m/f/d).

The Director of Quality Control will develop and implement a periodic evaluation program to ensure the organization's production operations, from raw materials to finished products, meet the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards set by the organization.

This position is an unlimited position.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Lead and manage the Quality Control department and its supervisory team.
  2. Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations to support employee development.
  3. Handle disciplinary actions and employee terminations in compliance with company policies.
  4. Evaluate production operations from a strategic level to ensure product quality, integrity, functionality, and compliance.
  5. Collaborate with management and senior staff to draft acceptable quality standards.
  6. Build a high-performing organization, including the vision for the lab of the future.
  7. Coordinate laboratory-related business planning and budget management.
  8. Implement and sustain lean QC operational excellence principles.
  9. Facilitate effective communication between production divisions and management.
  10. Assess test results and approve recommended changes as needed.
  11. Review quality control documentation for accuracy and relevance.
  12. Conduct random inspections and quality control checks.
  13. Provide periodic reports on quality control status to leadership and regulatory agencies when required.
  14. Ensure a safe work environment that complies with regulations.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Microbiology, or a comparable field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years of related experience, with at least 5 years as a quality engineer or similar role.
  • Several years of experience as a team leader or supervisor.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German, both written and spoken.
  • Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodologies, with strong knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
  • Strong business acumen, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
