About

As a Director of Product - Buyer Experience (m/f/d) you will define the vision, strategy, and execution for how buyers discover, evaluate, and engage with Chrono24. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless, trusted, and inspiring experiences that drive satisfaction, conversion, and long-term loyalty. Acting with a general manager mindset and approach for your domain, you’ll combine strategic leadership with hands‑on execution to create measurable impact across the global marketplace.


What you can expect
  • You define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Buyer Experience domain, aligning with Chrono24’s overall product strategy.

  • You act as the GM of your organization, owning key success metrics such as user engagement, conversion, retention, and marketplace growth.

  • You inspire, mentor, and develop a team of product managers, designers, researchers, and engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, creativity, and impact.

  • You collaborate deeply and frequently across the organization with other teams and functions, including: Product, Technology, Finance, Operations, Data, Customer Service, and more.

  • You use data, experimentation, and customer insights to prioritize initiatives that drive tangible improvements to buyer trust, engagement, and lifetime value.

  • You build a highly‑functional team, with strong partnership between Product, Design, Research, and Engineering functions to ensure seamless customer experiences, consistent delivery, and technical excellence.

  • You serve as the primary voice of the buyer in company‑wide strategy discussions, influencing decisions across the organization.


What sets you apart
  • Seasoned Product leadership with significant experience in global marketplaces and/or e‑commerce.

  • History of building high‑performing, cross‑functional teams – ideally with prior experience leading combined Product and Engineering teams.

  • High degree of skill leveraging data and experimentation to inform strategy, measure performance, and deliver impact.

  • Industry‑defining standards and a strong attention to detail, with equal comfort with presenting a vision to executives as with reviewing a product spec with your team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a history of building trusting relationships, alignment, and highly‑effective collaboration.

  • Global outlook with strong expertise understanding, building for, and operating in a diverse array of worldwide markets.

  • Very good English skills; German proficiency is a big plus.

  • Excitement for working in a fast‑moving, international environment, prepared to both leverage a hybrid, flexible environment for maximum effectiveness and to engage in person with your teams in Karlsruhe.
