The hiring company is currently looking for an experienced Director of Operations to manage their German operations from the Pulheim office. This position involves overseeing supply chain management, procurement, and operational planning, ensuring smooth import/export processes and leading a cross-functional team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure and operational leadership with in-depth knowledge of the German market and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities:

• Operational Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute the operational strategy for the company’s German operations, aligning with the overall goals and objectives.
• Team Management & Development: Lead, manage, and mentor the operations team in Germany, fostering a culture of performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Process Optimization: Analyze and optimize existing processes to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects.
• Supply Chain & Procurement Management: Oversee supply chain operations, coordinate procurement strategies, and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services.
• Import / Export Logistics: Manage and coordinate import/export logistics, ensuring compliance with local regulations and timeliness.
• Stakeholder & Partner Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners, government agencies, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulations.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all operations comply with relevant local regulations and safety standards, maintaining the highest level of quality control.
• Reporting & Analytics: Regularly update senior leadership on operational performance, key metrics, and potential risks.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior operations role, ideally in the automotive, energy, or technology sectors.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire diverse teams.
• In-depth knowledge of operational processes, project management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience managing large-scale complex projects with a focus on both technical and business aspects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong understanding of the German market, including local regulatory frameworks, industry trends, and customer needs.
• Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
