One of our partner companies is currently looking for a Director of IT & Security to join their team in Europe.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of IT & Security to spearhead the strategic direction of technology and cybersecurity operations. This role requires someone with a deep understanding of both technical infrastructure and innovative security practices, especially in fast-paced, high-growth environments. You will lead a dedicated IT & Security team, influence executive decisions, and foster a proactive culture of security, compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate combines hands-on expertise in ethical hacking with a strategic mindset to embed security into every layer of the business. A passion for innovation and resilience is key, as is the ability to balance agility with protection.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and execute the company’s overarching IT and cybersecurity strategy
  • Advise senior leadership on technology risks and mitigation plans
  • Champion ethical hacking practices, including red teaming and bug bounty programs
  • Oversee threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and incident response processes
  • Build and maintain a unified control framework aligned with global compliance standards
  • Lead risk assessments to balance protection with business agility
  • Drive continuous improvements in infrastructure and cloud security through automation
  • Manage IT & Security budgets, vendors, and tooling with a value-driven approach
  • Inspire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of IT and cybersecurity professionals

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in IT and cybersecurity leadership roles
  • Proven hands-on expertise in ethical hacking and red team operations
  • Strong knowledge of cloud environments (preferably AWS; GCP or Azure also considered)
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps, infrastructure security, and compliance frameworks
  • Ability to lead high-impact security initiatives in scale-up or tech-centric environments
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with cross-functional influence
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate without compromising operational stability
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, and technical roadmaps
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving business landscape
