What you can expect:
- As Director of IT Operations (m/w/d), you are accountable for the availability, performance, scalability, and running cost of IT services.
- You define and implement the IT Operations’ operating model and strategic roadmap to ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of all IT services.
- You ensure stability of the environment through a mix of sourcing options, including on-shore, offshore, and landed resources.
- You actively manage outsourced operations alongside the Vodafone Shared Services (VCI, VOIS) and AO partners.
- You devise strategies and policies to continuously improve and extend IT Operations’ capabilities and business value, while initiating projects and required system or application developments.
- You guarantee continuous quality and cost performance improvements for IT operations.
- You oversee and manage the performance and cost of IT services provided by vendors and partners.
- You maintain close working relationships with IT Infrastructure Management, Office IT (Group), DXC, IBM, Customer Management, Finance, Sales & Distribution, Internet Marketing, Consumer Business Unit, Enterprise Business Unit, Demand Management, SW Development, SW Acceptance, Bearer Network Operations, and the Vodafone Shared Services (VOIS).
Qualifications and Skills:
- University Degree in Telecommunications/IT or Business with technical qualifications, or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum 10 years of experience with large SW-/IT-projects (including vendor & contract management of more than 20 vendors)
- Well-developed leadership skills with a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in organisations with more than 50 staff

This position can be full-time or part-time (at least 30 hours).

We are filling this position in Düsseldorf for Vodafone GmbH. You will be leading employees in Düsseldorf, Kerpen and Unterföhring.
