Director – Commercial Strategy

This opportunity is ideal for senior consultants seeking to step into a leadership role focused on high-impact strategy engagements across the life sciences sector.

About the Role

As a Director, you will lead and shape strategic projects with top-tier pharmaceutical and biotech clients. You will guide clients through complex commercial challenges, from market entry to product launch and lifecycle planning.

  • Commercial Strategy
  • Go-to-Market Planning
  • Brand Strategy & Positioning
  • Pricing & Market Access Alignment
  • Broader commercial transformation and growth initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of complex strategy engagements from planning through to execution
  • Own and manage client relationships at the senior level
  • Develop and mentor high-performing consulting teams
  • Contribute to business development, including proposals and pitches
  • Support internal capability-building and thought leadership initiatives

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in management consulting, with a strong focus on life sciences
  • Background with a top-tier consultancy (e.g. Big 4 Strategy arms, MBB, boutique strategy firms)
  • Proven experience delivering commercial strategy, brand, or go-to-market projects
  • Strong leadership, client management, and communication skills
  • Fluent in English; German skills are a plus but not essential
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Germany
