Sie werden umfangreiche Verantwortung übernehmen, von der Teilnahme an wissenschaftlichen Veranstaltungen bis hin zur Pflege von Kontakten in der medizinischen Gemeinschaft. Erforderlich sind ein medizinisches Studium mit Spezialisierung auf Infektionskrankheiten sowie Erfahrung in medizinischen und wissenschaftlichen Angelegenheiten. Fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse sind ebenfalls notwendig.

Qualifikationen

  • Mindestens 8 Jahre Erfahrung im relevanten Bereich.
  • Erfahrung in medizinischer und wissenschaftlicher Arbeit.
  • Nachweisbare Fähigkeiten in klinischen Studienmanagement.

Aufgaben

  • Teilnahme an wissenschaftlichen Sitzungen zur Einbindung von Senior KOLs.
  • Aufbau und Pflege eines breiten Netzwerkes von Kontakten.
  • Kommunikation von Einblicken über unerfüllte klinische Bedürfnisse.

This position is part of Cepheid’s Infectious Disease Medical and Scientific Affairs group and will be located remotely in Germany.

Whilst joining us in this role, as Director Medical Affairs (Germany),

you will be responsible for activities in the DACH – Germany (D), Austria (A), and Switzerland (CH) – region.

You will have the opportunity to :

  1. Participate in scientific meetings to engage Senior KOLs, healthcare providers and customers.
  2. Demonstrate expertise in infectious disease, clinical microbiology, and related disciplines.
  3. Serve as a resource to the medical/scientific community including clinicians, laboratory personnel, infection control, pharmacists, and researchers.
  4. Develop and maintain understanding of the global health environment relevant to diagnostics.
  5. Establish and maintain a broad network of contacts within relevant stakeholder communities.
  6. Engage with researchers on independent studies to generate new evidence.
  7. Work independently with guidance on complex problems.
  8. Gain expertise in molecular diagnostics applications.
  9. Maintain knowledge of scientific literature and healthcare trends.
  10. Identify research gaps, support clinical trials, and collaborate with marketing for product development.
  11. Communicate insights about unmet clinical needs and provide scientific input on product design.

The essential requirements of the job include :

  1. Medical Degree (MD) with specialization in infectious diseases, microbiology, or infection prevention and control with 8 years of related experience.
  2. Strong scientific writing, publication record, and excellent communication skills, including international speaking experience.
  3. Proven ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  4. Fluency in German and excellent English communication skills.
  5. Ability to travel (60% regional and international).
  6. Previous experience in :
  • 3 years Medical and Scientific Affairs experience.
  • Diagnostics studies in infectious diseases in Germany.
  • Clinical trials management.
  • Biostatistics and regulatory familiarity for diagnostics.
