This position is part of the Cepheid’s Infectious Disease Medical and Scientific Affairs group and will be located remotely in Germany.

  • Whilst joining us in this role, as Director Medical Affairs (Germany), you will be responsible for activities in the DACH – Germany (D), Austria (A), and Switzerland (CH) – region.
  • You will have the opportunity to :
  • Participate in scientific meetings to engage Senior KOLs, healthcare providers and customers.
  • Demonstrate conceptual and practical expertise in infectious disease, clinical microbiology, and related disciplines.
  • Serve as a resource to the medical/scientific community including clinicians, laboratory personnel, infection control, pharmacists, and researchers.
  • Develop and maintain understanding of the Global Health environment relevant to diagnostic needs.
  • Establish and maintain a broad network of contacts within relevant stakeholder communities.
  • Engage and collaborate with researchers on independent studies to generate new evidence.
  • Work independently but also receive guidance for complex problems.
  • Gain expertise in molecular diagnostics applications.
  • Maintain knowledge of scientific literature and healthcare trends.
  • Identify research gaps, support clinical trials, and assist Marketing with product pipeline requirements.
  • Communicate insights and provide scientific expertise on product design and development.
  • The essential requirements include :
  • Medical Degree (MD) with specialization in infectious diseases, microbiology, or infection prevention and control with 8 years of related experience.
  • Strong scientific writing, publication record, and excellent communication skills, including international speaking experience.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences, with strong organizational skills.
  • Fluency in German and excellent English communication skills.
  • Ability to travel (60% regional and some international).
  • Preferred experience :
  • 3 years in Medical and Scientific Affairs.
  • Experience in diagnostics studies in infectious diseases in Germany.
  • Clinical trials management, biostatistics, regulatory familiarity.
