Your role in 30 seconds:

The Director of Fintech Expansion is responsible for business development with Fintech partners in German-speaking markets. The role focuses on solution design, digital development, business case creation, customer negotiations, and implementations. Developing customer relationships, regional strategy, and long-term growth are key elements.

The role requires strong communication, business acumen, market insights, and expertise in digital payments products to deliver solutions tailored to local market needs. You should be a self-starter, technologically minded, and willing to go the extra mile for clients to create compelling payment solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Grow and manage your customer portfolio, define strategies, set goals, and collaborate with the Central European Fintech team.
  • Build trusted relationships with Fintech and digital clients through structured account management and execution.
  • Develop and implement a Pan-European go-to-market plan, including product positioning and target customer identification.
  • Drive solution design, sales, and product delivery in a fast-changing environment.
  • Design, launch, and manage integration approaches, working with solution architects and product managers.
  • Manage new partnership pipelines, anticipate technological trends, and respond to ecosystem needs.
  • Create business cases, operational processes, and product roadmaps for new concepts.
  • Ensure growth and achievement of tactical targets.
  • Develop and execute strategic frameworks for the Fintech platform business in Central Europe.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in fast-paced, tech-centric environments including Payments, e-commerce, retail, financial services, or consulting.
  • Curiosity, agility, creativity, and teamwork skills.
  • Results-oriented with a proven track record in business development and sales.
  • Ability to build sustainable relationships and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and operational understanding.
  • Business acumen with solution-oriented mindset.
  • Leadership experience in managing teams.
  • Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
  • Educational background: MBA or Bachelor’s degree.
  • Location: Munich, Berlin, or Frankfurt with travel required.
