Position: Director - Facility Management Monheim

We are seeking to fill the position of Director - Facility Management Monheim (m/f/d) at our location in Monheim am Rhein, Germany.

Position Overview:

The Site/Facility Management Director is responsible for all aspects of team leadership and development, as well as the comprehensive technical and infrastructural management of a complex research and development site covering 40,000 m². The focus is on operational excellence and strategic optimization of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the 'Site Management' team
  • Manage the technical building operations for the site, including complex laboratory and barn facilities
  • Ensure compliance with operational responsibilities, including regular inspections and maintenance according to relevant regulations
  • Plan and oversee renovation and conversion projects
  • Manage infrastructural services such as cleaning, handyman services, mail and courier services, access control systems, etc.
  • Coordinate and oversee external service providers
  • Optimize building management through the implementation of CAFM software and develop outsourcing strategies
  • Lead safety, health, and environmental management at the site

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Facility Management, Civil Engineering, Building and Supply Engineering, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in a responsible position in technical and infrastructural building management
  • Strong knowledge of technical and commercial project management, procurement, and management of external contractors
  • Experience in personnel management and development
  • Practical business management skills, ideally with SAP experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CAFM software
  • Good knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills, with a strategic and results-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and conflict resolution abilities
  • Independent, structured work approach, and high level of commitment
  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
