Directors for Energy & Resources have a distinct understanding of how energy and commodity markets function and how regulation impacts the sector. They also have a deep understanding of decarbonization opportunities and challenges of the wider economy and industry, including upcoming technologies and trends that have a strong future impact on achieving international climate targets.

Our work within corporate communications and strategic advisory

Together with our offices in Berlin, Munich, and Frankfurt, we cover a full range of industry sectors and practices to help our clients navigate the interconnected worlds of economy, social, regulatory, and government affairs.

We work with many of the world’s largest companies in all sectors. We create expertly defined communications strategies that get to the heart of specific opportunities and challenges faced by corporates around the world. We have counselled corporations on protecting and enhancing their reputations over the long term and have supported them through many of the most critical junctures in their history.

We understand the challenges of communicating in a highly regulated, heavily scrutinized, and often volatile environment. Successfully communicating with all stakeholders, including the investment community, media, governments, regulators, employees, customers, and society-at-large is a key component of creating trust and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong and trusted relationships with senior client contacts to deliver strategic advice.
  • Drive large, complex account teams, providing strategic direction and overall accountability.
  • Actively extend external as well as internal networks and draw insights from these.
  • Regularly manage sensitive and complex media issues.
  • Work with a variety of client and pitch teams, serving as a regional/sector expert for other geographies and specialist offers.
  • Identify new opportunities to deliver additional Brunswick expertise to the client and actively pursue and secure extensions of client relationships.
  • Act as a leader on teams providing strategic direction based on Partner guidance and ensuring teams are working effectively.
  • Foster development of team members’ skills; serve as Development Mentor.
  • Create thought leadership pieces for firm initiatives (e.g. Brunswick Review).

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

  • You have at least 6-8 years of experience in the energy and resources sectors, management or communications consulting, corporate communications, investor relations, or journalism with a focus on energy and resources matters.
  • Use deep knowledge of key sectors to promote new business approaches and ideas.

What we offer you

  • Exciting tasks and attractive development prospects in an international, team-oriented, and inspiring working environment with a lot of personal responsibility.
  • Insights into a wide range of industries and areas of expertise.
  • Varied work and flat hierarchies.
  • Regular further education and training programmes.
  • Great creative freedom with short decision-making processes and attractive remuneration.
  • A wide range of additional benefits for employees.
  • We look forward to receiving your detailed application. Please enclose a covering letter, a current CV, and relevant diplomas/job references.
