Title and Summary

Director, Cybersecurity Specialist Sales (DACH)

Cybersecurity Solutions is one of Mastercard’s fastest growing business units and is responsible for developing technologies and solutions that provide safe, secure, and frictionless interactions for Mastercard’s customers and partners.

Role:

As a Cybersecurity Specialist Sales Director, you will further develop our Cybersecurity business in the DACH region, engaging with stakeholders at high levels and maintaining excellent relationships in Cybersecurity, Risk, Privacy, and Vendor Management functions. This role involves directly collaborating with prospects, reseller partners, other Mastercard teams, and customers to present the value of our cybersecurity solutions and products. Our ideal candidate has experience selling large-ticket enterprise security or risk applications or infrastructure software to large enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Hunter position: Focus on securing new business and acquiring new logos rather than managing existing accounts.
  2. Develop and execute a sales strategy and territory plan to penetrate and close new opportunities within the DACH region.
  3. Build and maintain senior-level relationships within targeted organizations, especially with C-level cybersecurity professionals at top enterprises.
  4. Create and implement a comprehensive sales plan for target accounts aligned with Mastercard's cybersecurity portfolio.
  5. Provide regular updates on opportunity status and maintain a healthy pipeline with accurate forecasts, capturing relevant information in Salesforce and Clari.
  6. Collaborate closely with Mastercard's cybersecurity division and other sales and marketing teams for cohesive strategy and execution.

All About You:

  • Extensive experience in enterprise software sales, focusing on new customer acquisition and pipeline growth.
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions, particularly in cybersecurity.
  • Proven success managing large enterprise and public sector accounts, closing significant deals, and exceeding quotas.
  • Strong negotiation skills with C-level executives and ability to communicate risk strategies and cybersecurity outlooks.
  • Fluent in English and German, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • History of territory growth and sales achievement.
  • Reliable network and strong relationships with security executives.
  • Excellent organizational skills, high activity levels, and effective communication.
  • Self-starter capable of working with distributed teams.
  • Training in consultative or value-based selling.
  • Willingness to travel.
